# Recurring bills can wait in Drafts for review

October 29, 2026

### Recurring bills can wait in Drafts for review

Each recurring bill now has a setting for what Topkey does when it creates the next bill. Choose Leave it in Draft for review and each new bill waits in Drafts, so you can update the invoice number or amount before you submit it. The person who set up the recurring bill and its assignees get a notice in Topkey and by email when a draft is ready.

### Follow every comment on a bill

Turn on Follow comments on a bill's Comments tab and Topkey tells you about each new comment, even when nobody tags you. Notices show up in Messages and by email, and you can turn the email off in your notification settings. Everyone on your AP team can follow the same bill and keep up with its thread.

## New

- You can delete a vendor address from the vendor's Addresses tab. Topkey keeps any address a bill pays to.

## Improved

- Pause or resume automatic payments on an approved recurring bill from its edit view, and keep any changes you haven't saved yet.
- Transaction Feed amount searches find both money in and money out, and a new option under Amount narrows the results to one direction.
- Owner statement items can get a posting category while the reservation is still Unmatched, so the reservation moves to Ready once the payment matches.
- Removing a manual payment also removes the processing fee recorded with it, and the reservation history shows the fee next to the amount.
- Bill matching in reconciliation shows each bill's due date and paid date next to the day the money left the account.
- The Use splits button in reconciliation is now called Use line items.
- Improved the comment box. A small Aa button opens formatting, and the ask switch shows up once you tag someone and names who you are asking.
- HTML emails in the Bill Pay Inbox now display as formatted messages with links you can click.
- Vendor credit memos now import as negative bills, and charges like restocking fees stay positive.
- In Safari, you can type a custom date range into a date filter and apply it.
- When one ACH payment covers several bills, each bill's panel shows the withdrawal that paid it.
