# Record bills paid with your own paper checks

November 2, 2026

### Record bills paid with your own paper checks

Bill Pay has a new Manual Check payment type for checks you write outside Topkey, like one your onsite team hands a vendor. Upload photos of the front and back, confirm the check number Topkey reads from the front, and Topkey marks the bill paid. In bulk pay, one check can pay several bills for the same payee, and the check number and images stay on the bill's payment details.

### Step through reconciliation transactions

You can now work through reconciliation transactions without closing the panel. Use Previous and Next, or press K and J, to move through the tab you opened it from. When you classify a transaction, Topkey loads the next one, and Cmd+/ or Ctrl+/ shows every shortcut.

## New

- Reservations have an Owner / PM Split tab that shows each item's owner and PM amounts, the commission and the totals before you post.
- Send draft work orders from your own systems through the Topkey API, and your team reviews each one in Topkey before it goes to your PMS.

## Improved

- On trust accounts, you can unmatch a bill from a withdrawal in Reconciliation, and the withdrawal goes back to Not coded so you can classify it again.
